The aliases table

aliases stores all addresses for local users and similar.

Each row in users has an associated row in aliases. It is also possible to have system aliases, that is, aliases that are connected only to a mailbox, not to a user.

An alias simply connects an address to a mailbox. When an aliases row exists, Archiveopteryx will deliver mail to that alias into the specified mailbox.

create table aliases ( -- Grant: select, update id serial primary key, address integer not null unique references addresses(id), mailbox integer not null references mailboxes(id) on delete cascade );

The aliases table was introduced in version 1.05.
