The aox restart command restarts the Archiveopteryx servers in the correct order. It is equivalent to aox stop followed by aox start.
The only option, -v, causes aox to be more verbose about what it's doing. Specify it twice for even more verbosity.
Note that restarting the server does not make the old process go away at once. It immediately stops accepting connections, but serves existing connections for three more hours. aox restart starts a new process, which accepts and serves new connections meanwhile.
