The aox grant privileges grants database privileges such that a database user can use the database.
The main Archiveopteryx server runs using an unprivileged database user, db-user. That user is not permitted to delete mail, for example. If you want to create another database user with the same rights, aox grant privilege is for you.
This command grants PostgreSQL user crmrobot the same abilities as normal POP/IMAP users have (and then some):
aox grant privilege crmrobot
Note that the database usually contains cleartext passwords, and the granted privileges include the right to see them.
